The number of DDoS attacks worldwide in the first half of 2024 exceeded 7.9 million, a 12.8% jump compared to the second half of 2023. The situation in EMEA is even worse: 3.9 million attacks – a 25% increase!

Approximately 75% of newly established networks become target of attacks within an average of 42 days. Moreover attackers have reached a new level: compared to volumetric attacks, the number of application-level attacks has increased at a much higher rate. Advanced botnets, such as „Zergeca” which came to light in May, 2024, enable more sophisticated attacks, making the defence of company IT infrastructure even more difficult.
